Superior defeated Duluth in two of three matches in the 45th annual Duluth-Superior Men's All-Star Bowling Challenge on Sunday at Landmark Lanes in Superior.

Superior won the Open Division 3,338-3,022, led by Erik Gulbrandson's 732 series. Duluth was led by Mike Sorenson's 614. Duluth still leads 25-20 all-time in the series.

Duluth captured the 18th annual Senior Division, 2,992-2.675. Steve Freeman's series-high of 681 helped Duluth even the all-time seniors series 9-9. Dave Quan led the Superior seniors with a 623.

Superior won its first Super Senior match by a 2,199-2,174 total. Tim Bergren paced the Superior bowlers with a 640 series, 15 pins better than Duluth's Ron Laliberte.
