O.A.R., American Authors to play Bayfront this summer

A heavy-touring rock band with roots in the 1990s and a festival-friendly group with a new album will play a summer concert at Bayfront Festival Park.

A heavy-touring rock band with roots in the 1990s and a festival-friendly group with a new album will play a summer concert at Bayfront Festival Park.

O.A.R., American Authors and Rozzi will play at 6 p.m. Aug. 1, Jade Presents announced Tuesday morning. Tickets start at $39.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at www.jadepresents.com.

O.A.R., a collection of musicians who met in high school, has been in the biz for more than 20 years, and most recently released the song "Miss You All the Time." They are scheduled to release their ninth studio album, "The Mighty," in March.

American Authors, best known for "Best Day of My Life," released their third studio album, "Seasons," a few weeks ago.

Rozzi is an emerging solo soul/pop/R&B artist.
